Alastair Johnston named Business Development Manager for Lithium Ion Europe, Middle East, and Africa

Gary Reinert, Vice President and General Manager, ReStore Energy Systems, a division of Exide Technologies is pleased to announce that effective June 1st 2010, Alastair Johnston has joined the ReStore team as Business Development Manager for Lithium Ion serving the Europe, Middle East, and Africa regions.

In his new position, Alastair will develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with new and existing customers, coordinate pre-sales technical support, and execute plans for developing revenue streams in support of the Divisions goals.

Alastair will work closely with the ReStore Energy System's Marketing and Engineering staffs and the Exide Industrial Division in Büdingen Germany to acquire a deeper understanding of customer needs and chart the competitive landscape in order to better position our brands for growth.

Alastair brings a wealth of experience to ReStore Energy Systems. Before joining ReStore, Alastair served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Valence Technology, Inc and has been successful in developing Lithium-ion sales in a variety of major accounts. In addition, Alastair worked closely with engineering to create a robust product roadmap.
