Industrial applications that benefit from lithium ion batteries include installations with:

  • Limited recharge window
  • Site restricted locations (pole mount, roof top, remote)
  • Temperature extremes
  • Need for battery monitoring

Our division is focused on developing new applications for Exide’s Onyx™ large-capacity, lightweight lithium ion batteries in the following markets:

    which includes medical, closed circuit television and emergency lighting
  • Portable power
    which includes medical, mobile communications and mobile military applications
  • Motive power
    which includes autonomous underwater vehicles, unmanned vehicles and motorized consumer products
